Optimising UX for cross-functional teams in a Domain Driven organisation

UX professionals often face limited capacity, tight deadlines and support multiple teams. This comes with risks such as meeting overload, impact on productivity and decrease of UX maturity. Scaling the team is ideal but not always possible due to budget constraints. Implementing a domain-driven operating model enables teams to prioritise BAU, critical needs and strategic initiatives that deliver the most value.

Designing a global approach to Trust & Safety

The Trust & Safety domain is critical for online p2p transactions. Without safety, users lack trust in the platform, content, and each other, preventing connections and transactions. As domain lead I contributed to a global Trust and Safety strategy, framework and success metrics, which was implemented across the globe, effectively making online marketplaces safer and more trustworthy. 

Establishing a data driven people management mindset

Data driven people management accelerates collecting 360 feedback, identify common opportunities and challenges and to track progress on a variety of engagement metrics across larger teams. I created a framework in which pulse survey tooling is combined with recurring team & people managers sessions, enabling proactive learning and prevention on product team, crew and tribe level.

How we created a next gen Fraud Prevention platform

Schibsted centralised its Fraud prevention and Content Quality tooling in 2016. This marked the start of Serenity, a global fraud prevention and content moderation platform with a strong focus on Machine Learning. In this case I will cover how the team and I effectively built, shipped and scaled the platform to 20 marketplaces, moderating over 500 million messages and ads per month.

From content provider to content creator: Ziggo Entertainment

Quadruple play intensified competition in the telecom industry. In response, Ziggo, the leading Dutch cable operator, adapted a content mix of live music, sports, series & movies and gaming to differentiate itself from competitors. In this case I will cover how my team and I shipped an platform aligned with the content strategy and how we reached 2.5 million unique visits in the first month after launch. 

Shaping the TV Ecosystem of the 21st century

As Design Lead at Ziggo, I contributed to and guided my team through multiple projects to ensure a consistent and exceptional user experience across all digital touchpoints, successfully creating a seamless TV ecosystem. We transformed how millions of users consume linear and non-linear television and explored opportunities to deliver Over-the-Top (OTT) content using IP-TV technology.
